80 to Work CNC Program

Get training to become an entry-level CNC operator in just two weeks!

Greenville Technical College’s Economic Development and Corporate Training Division is partnering with Machining Training Solutions (MTS) to offer an intensive, two-week training program designed to provide participants an entry-level skill set for CNC “C” machinist. 

80 To Work CNC Program provides specific training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), ISO standards, safety, Metrology, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, math for machining, tooling, CNC control panel, reading blueprints, and fixtures. Upon completion, participants will be given opportunities to interview for entry-level CNC operator job openings with local manufacturers. Job offers are the decision of the participating companies and are not guaranteed.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Attend an 80 To Work CNC Information Session
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a South Carolina resident
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Score Silver Level or higher on the WorkKeys Assessment
  • Provide evidence of a recent (within seven days) "clear" 10-panel drug screen

Training Dates

Training will take place at the Center for Manufacturing Innovation (CMI).

  • Feb. 12-23, 2018
