Note: An International Applicant on a F1 Visa has to be enrolled into the college in an associate degree program of study. The International Admissions Officers will follow up with the applicant, when they apply to the college.
Documentation Needed:
Foreign High Schools – the applicants must contact World Education Services (WES) www.wes.org or Josef Silny and Associates www.jsilny.com to request an evaluation and to have the official report sent to the Admissions Office. Evaluations must be received three (3) months prior to the semester in which the student intends to enroll.
SC State Standard Diploma or GED – the applicant must contact the high school to request a final official high school transcript or contact the SC Department of Education to request a copy of the GED. The college will allow the applicant to bring in their high school diploma as verification in lieu of the final official high school transcript. The document must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
Diploma or GED from a SC Private Schools or Home Schools – the applicant must contact the SC Department of Education to get a letter that states that the school is listed with the Department of Education. The letter must be submitted to the Admissions Office. Also, the applicant must submit to the Admissions Office an official final high school transcript/GED. The college will allow the applicant to bring in their high school diploma as verification in lieu of the final official high school transcript. Note: Home school applicants must also submit their current membership card in a SC Home School Association to the Admissions Office.
Out of State Standard High School Diploma or GED – the applicant must contact the high school to request a final official high school transcript or contact the out of state Department of Education to request a copy of the GED. The college will allow the applicant to bring in their high school diploma in lieu of the final official high school transcript. The document must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
Out of State Diploma or GED from a Private or Home School – the applicant must contact the out of state Department of Education or the regional accrediting body to get a letter. The letter must state that the diploma or GED is from an institution approved by a regional accrediting body or that the school is listed with the department of education where the school is located. Also, the applicant must submit the GED or official final high school transcript or high school diploma to the Admissions Office.

Note: 12 transfer credits with a grade of “C” or better from a regionally accredited US college or 12 transfer credits with a grade of “C” or better from a foreign college can be used in lieu of the standard high school diploma or GED or the foreign high school diploma. Admissions officers will review documents submitted and make a final decision about acceptance.
