STAT Center

    Simulation Technologies And Training Center

Greenville Technical College’s STAT (Simulation Technologies and Training) Center provides high quality, real-life training to the Health and Wellness division including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Nursing, Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting and the EMT/Paramedic program.

Mannequin-based medical simulation utilizes high fidelity human patient simulators that respond to treatments similar to what would occur with real life patients. The simulated patient can be assessed by the learner, they can initiate treatment with a realistic response and perform a variety of procedures in a controlled learning environment that mimics the real-life patient care setting but is safe for the patient and learner.

All simulation center activities can be observed in real-time by the instructor and/or recorded for assessment of student performance during a dedicated debriefing session.

The STAT Center provides simulators that range in age from birth through adulthood. The STAT Center currently has 3 newborns, 2 children, 3 adult males and 2 adult females, one of which that gives birth. The staff can create different simulation settings such as labor and delivery, an emergency room environment and a home health setting to name a few.
