Greenville Tech Alumni Association (GTAA)

The Greenville Tech Alumni Association (GTAA) is a dynamic organization that supports the quality of education at Greenville Tech and offers opportunities for alumni, students, and friends to connect with each other and the college.

The association raises funds to award scholarships to Greenville Tech students and support alumni activities and offers opportunities for alumni to socialize and connect with the college. The Alumni Council plans and coordinates programming, publicity, fundraisers, and special events to accomplish these objectives.

Give nowTo join the GTAA, or if you are already a member and would like to make an additional donation, simply click the Give Now button, fill out the secure online form and click submit. All information will be encrypted to ensure the security of your information. After making your gift, you will receive an email confirmation and can expect an acknowledgment in the mail.

If you would prefer to send your gift through the mail, print out and complete the Pledge Form  and return it along with your donation.

Membership Options

Alumni Member: If you earned a degree, diploma, or certificate from the college, or have completed 24 or more curriculum hours and you are not a current student, you are eligible to become an Alumni Member. Your annual gift of $25 or more to the GTAA or the Greenville Tech Foundation entitles you to receive GTAA communications and all benefits of membership, to vote, and to serve on the Alumni Council.

Associate Member: If you have not been enrolled in the college during the last year and you have completed at least one course but less than 24 curriculum credit hours at Greenville Tech, you are eligible to become an Associate Member. Your annual gift of $25 or more to the GTAA or the Greenville Tech Foundation entitles you to receive GTAA communications and limited membership benefits.

Member Benefits

  • Discounted tickets to local events when attending with the Alumni Association
  • Continuing Education Discount (Corporate and Career Development)
    GTAA members may receive a 10% discount on registration fees up to a maximum of $50 per course. There is no limit on the number of discounted courses during membership. This discount does not include books or any additional fees, testing, certification, etc. This discount does not apply to Greenville Tech curriculum courses.
  • Greenville Tech Bookstore Discount
    GTAA members receive a 10% discount on all purchases excluding all software.
  • Use of Greenville Tech Career Center, Library, and Computers (located in the TRC Building Computer Valley)

Alumni Council and committees

The Alumni Council plans and coordinates the operation of the Greenville Tech Alumni Association, including the social and fundraising activities. Joining the Alumni Council is a great way to volunteer, meet new or old friends, and strengthen your relationship with Greenville Tech. Interested? Alumni Association Scholarship Funds

Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund

Awarded to accepted or currently enrolled students in the program of their choice, this scholarship is based on financial need and/or academic merit. Students must be South Carolina residents and are eligible to receive this scholarship for up to two academic years by maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA. This scholarship fund was established in 1988 by the Greenville Tech Alumni Association.

William Bradshaw/Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 by Bradshaw Automotive Companies and William Bradshaw as part of an Alumni Golf Tournament sponsorship, it is awarded to students in the automotive technology field and is based on academic achievement. (If no auto students apply, students can be in academic curriculum of their choice leading to a certificate, diploma or an associate degree.)

Paula G. Wood/Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 1998 in memory of Paula G. Wood, director of Alumni Affairs at Greenville Tech, whose untimely death occurred at age 48 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a 1969 graduate and a dedicated employee at Greenville Tech for 28 years in various positions. Awarded to accepted or currently enrolled students in the academic curriculum program of their choice, this scholarship is based on financial need and/or academic merit. Students must be South Carolina residents.

Alumni Association Awards

Outstanding Alumnus/Alumna of the Year

Given to graduates of Greenville Tech (degree, diploma, or certificate programs) who have brought honor to the college through achievements, exemplary community or civic service, or outstanding career performance.

Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year

Given to non-graduates who have provided outstanding service and/or made significant contributions to the college.

Nominate a deserving individual

The Greenville Tech Alumni Association seeks nominations for the “Outstanding Alumnus/Alumna of the Year” and “Honorary Alumnus/Alumna of the Year.” Awards are presented at the college’s graduation exercises in May. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 1.

  • Nominations are accepted from members of the community and Greenville Tech alumni, employees, and students.
  • The following information must be included in the nomination:
    • nominee’s name, home address, daytime phone number, e-mail address if available, and place of employment
    • nominator’s name, e-mail address, and daytime phone number
    • the name, daytime phone number, and e-mail address (if available) of someone who can verify the information submitted.
