Greenville Tech offers personal trainer clinics 

Advanced students in the Personal Trainer Department at Greenville Tech's Greer Campus will offer a personal training clinic with day and evening schedules available. If you’d like to have your own personal trainer for 12 weeks (two one-hour sessions weekly or 24 training sessions) at a cost of $10/session ($240 total), contact the Personal Trainer Department at 848-2968. Availability is limited and is first-come-first-served.

Greenville Technical College’s Personal Trainer certificate is a science-based educational foundation with a great deal of hands-on experience through labs, internships and clinics. The program provides an understanding of the fundamentals of exercise science, clinical nutrition, human anatomy and physiology, and teaches critical techniques of training program design in the key areas of cardiorespiratory, muscular strength/muscular endurance and flexibility fitness.

Men working out in a fitness centerWith fitness and wellness trends shifting from treatment to prevention, the job market for personal trainers is strong and continues to grow. A certified Personal Trainer can work in a wellness center, assisted living center, gym, corporate fitness facility, health club, chiropractic office, physical therapy office, fitness club, or parks and recreation center. Some trainers work on an independent basis, either contracting with fitness facilities or with individual clients for in-home training sessions. Certified professional personal trainers can earn between $25 and $60 an hour.

Classes are offered days or evenings on the Greer Campus. If you are a full-time student, you can finish in nine months (two semesters). We also offer a one-year (three semester) program. Part-time and night will students require additional time.
