Greenville Tech's Computer Programming, part of the Business/Public Service Division, provides education for students to plan, design, and develop computer systems and programs using varied programming languages and state-of-the-art equipment. Realizing that many of the "programming" jobs available require database skills, Computer Programming Technology students learn database skills that include analysis, design, and query.

The computer equipment in Greenville Tech's labs will rival the technology found in almost any company. The different platforms that a degree student will use include JAVA, Visual Basic.Net, SQL Server, and Internet environments such as JavaScript, ASP, XML and JSP. The students also will learn skills to work as a system analyst in the marketplace. Some students may choose to complete an internship as part of their course requirements. The on-the-job internship experience can be a tremendous plus for the student.
