Two types of parking decals are available:
Please note: Student parking decals expire on the date on the face of the decal. Faculty/Staff decals are valid until notification of replacement, and the new expiration date of the old decals will accompany that notice.
The individual who registered the vehicle will be responsible for all violations assessed on the vehicle.
Decals are distributed by the GTC Police on the Barton Campus and the GTC Department of Public Safety on the satellite campuses.

Students will be issued up to three (3) permanent decals for their vehicles. Temporary permits can be issued for any additional vehicles at any time during the academic year.
The decal is issued to the student, who will be responsible for all violations assessed on the vehicle. Upon sale or transfer of the vehicle, the GTC Parking Permit must be removed. The decal will be invalid upon separation from the college, whether voluntary or involuntary.
The decal for students for each academic year will be valid for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Parking for daytime students is limited to white lines only before 5 p.m. on weekdays on all campuses. After 5 p.m., students may park in white or green line spaces. Parking in a space designated for a specific department or person is prohibited at all times, regardless of the color of the lines.
Faculty/staff will be issued up to three (3) permanent decals for their vehicles during the duration of their employment with GTC at no cost. Temporary permits can be issued for any additional vehicles at any time during the academic year. The decal will be valid until further notice.
The decal must be affixed to the outside of the rear window using the adhesive on the back of the decal. Place it on the left side at the bottom. Exceptions to this rule are
All vehicles must pull in and NOT back into or pull through a parking space. The rear of your vehicle should be visible at all times. When parallel parking, park with traffic flow, placing your passenger door to the curb.
Four types of temporary parking permits are available: Student, Faculty/Staff, Visitor/Guest, and Contractor. Temporary permits are available at the same locations as decals above. Bring with you:
Place the temporary permit on the driver’s side of your dash. Temporary permits are valid on all campuses in designated parking spaces until the expiration date on the permit.
