Tech Scholars Programs

Greenville Technical College partners with local employers to offer Tech Scholars Programs. These programs provide students with part-time employment and scholarships at the same time providing a pipeline of skilled employees to the industry partner.

BMW Scholars Program

Benefits:

• Gain invaluable work experience at BMW's only U.S. automotive plant
• Earn an associate degree with tuition assistance offered by BMW
• Make money working part-time while taking classes
• Be considered for full-time BMW job positions
• Please note all BMW Technical Scholar applicants must work with the Experiential Learning Office to apply to BMW.

Michelin Tech Scholars

Benefits:

• Earn on-the-job training and valuable experience at one of the world’s leading companies
• Become eligible for entry-level employment at Michelin upon graduation 
• Develop invaluable skills such as time management, teamwork and problem solving
• Customize work schedule to accommodate classes
• If hired upon graduation, opportunity to add approximately 2,000 hours of formal classroom and lab training in the initial years of career
• Students must pass a Michelin Technical Scholar test to apply. Testing is offered once a semester through Experiential Learning.

Bausch + Lomb Tech Scholars Program

Benefits:

• Hands-on work experience at one of the most respected health care companies in the world.
• A customized work schedule adjusted to your class schedule.
• Become eligible for entry-level employment at Bausch + Lomb upon graduation.
• Earn an estimated salary of $45,000.
• $2,000 per semester to cover tuition cost, fees, and books.
