This policy ensures Greenville Technical College (GTC) remains in compliance with food safety regulations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Public Health (SCDPH) and the SC Department of Agriculture (SCDA) for Retail Food Establishments Regulation (61-25).
This policy establishes guidelines for Greenville Technical College (GTC) employees, student organizations, and clubs involved in the sale, preparation, distribution, and storage of food during fundraising and other campus activities. No individual student, faculty, or staff member may sell food products on campus for personal profit. Compliance with food safety regulations set forth by the SCDPH and SCDA is mandatory to ensure consumer safety and minimize liability risks.
This policy applies to all food sales and distributions to students, faculty, staff, and the public during official college-sponsored or campus-related events.
Students, faculty and staff are all responsible for following the procedures associated with this policy.
Failure to comply with/follow this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
