Recognizing that we all have relationships with industry partners and we want to leverage those relationships to benefit the college and our students, these procedures protect the college and our employees.
Our intent is to collaborate to approach external vendors, sponsors, and partners for donations, no matter the size, to ensure the college is speaking with one voice.
Fundraising Efforts:
- Departments planning to seek donations or engage in fundraising activities must consult with the Greenville Tech Foundation liaison before approaching a vendor or partner.
- The College Foundation will provide support and guidance to ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards in all fundraising efforts.
Process for spending foundation funds:
- Foundation fund balances should be reviewed quarterly for investment opportunities.
- Employees should bring all requests to the appropriate dean/AVP for approval to spend the funds.
- Each dean/AVP has the authority to approve foundation fund spending for accounts within their authority.
- Dean/AVP should leverage their assigned foundation representative and VP if there are questions about spending eligibility or priorities.
