The Academic Specialist Certification (ASC) is a program designed for full-time faculty. The program focuses on equipping faculty with knowledge of Quality Matters and training to complete peer reviews of courses and Academic Program Reviews.
At the completion of the training, participants will be able to:

1 NFO, Teaching with Blackboard, & Community College Teaching
2 Upon receipt of ASC Level I application, CPE will confirm good standing of faculty member with Human Resources.
3 Applications will be first come, first served and will require approval of both the faculty member’s supervisor and assistant dean. Those placed on the waiting list will receive priority for the next cohort.
4 Per Semester: Offered Spring semester, applications open during Fall semester.
5 The cohort has until the end of summer term to complete both courses.
6 Application process as outlined in Level I. Applications will be open towards the end of the spring semester. Applicant must have completed Level 1 training within the last six months or must demonstrate QM knowledge proficiency.
7 During Level II, each faculty participant will be assigned reviews during summer, fall, and spring semester. Faculty who are completing peer reviews will have 3 weeks to complete the review once assigned.
