Questions and answers for students and employees
While we all look forward to returning to our normal routines, you may not come to campus while the college is closed. Work is underway to restore all systems and get buildings and grounds ready for your return. In the meantime, it is not safe for you to be on campus.
Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Blood Connection will be set up in two locations: horseshoe between lots B and C and Nursing building. Because we are a host site, the college gets points that are used to buy supplies for Caring Corner.
Donate to Miracle Hill and Caring Corner from 2 to 5 p.m. Miracle Hill will weigh our donations of clothing and household goods and then, based on that total weight, give us gift cards students can use at Miracle Hill Stores. People can also drop off bags to stock the shelves at Caring Corner.
Auto withdrawal and attendance notification have been suspended. Assigned work is on hold. For now, take care of yourself and your family. Your instructors will revise syllabi upon return to normal operations.
Governor McMaster has authority to provide state employees leave with pay per declaration of each state of emergency for absences from work due to the state of emergency. He typically will render a decision pertaining to emergency leave after all counties have reported all the closures for each day counties were impacted. Therefore, we have not yet received guidance from the state regarding emergency leave. We will share the information with you as soon as we receive the governor’s decision.
Due to the extended power outage, it was necessary to clean out all the refrigerators on campus to avoid the growth of mold and sanitize the appliances.
