Anyone interested in employment at Greenville Technical College must complete an online application. This includes those who presently work at the college or those who have been employed in the past.
A resume cannot be provided in lieu of any information asked on the application. If you state "see resume" in lieu of inputting your actual work experience or send in an incomplete application, your application will not be accepted. All information, including experience, work responsibilities, education, licenses/certifications, etc. must be listed in detail on the application.
We appreciate the time you are investing in Greenville Technical College and your patience during the selection process. Please keep in mind that we receive a large number of applications for our positions, and it takes time to review all of the information received.
GTC managers make every effort to review applications in a timely manner. If your status still says “in review," your information is being reviewed and you may still be considered for the position. If you are selected as a potential candidate, the hiring manager will contact you. If you are not selected for an interview, please feel free to apply for other openings that match your qualifications.
Temporary employees are those who do not occupy a full-time equivalent (FTE) position and are not covered state employees. Examples of temporary employees include, but are not limited to, adjunct faculty, seasonal staff, and staff in temporary positions with variable work hours. Any period of temporary employment may not exceed twelve (12) consecutive months.
Temporary employees may participate in the South Carolina retirement plans, but are typically not eligible for paid leave or other benefits normally associated with employees in FTE positions.
An application may not be forwarded to the hiring authority if it 1) did not meet the minimum qualifications as stated on the job opening notice; 2) the application was incomplete or lacked the required attachments; or 3) the application was left in draft status by not clicking the "submit" button.
If you did not receive a confirmation email that your application had been successfully submitted, your application did not reach the Human Resources department.
Do I have to include a copy of my unofficial transcript? I don't have this available on my computer.
An unofficial/student copy of your transcript must be submitted along with your on-line application if the position you are applying for requires a degree and/or certificate. If you are unable to attach transcripts to your on-line application, they may be sent to the Office of Human Resources by the closing date of the position. Official transcripts must be provided upon hire.
We typically only require the transcript for the education the position requires. For instance, if the position requires a master’s degree, we do not need your undergraduate transcript.
The GTC application management system can be accessed from any computer with internet access.
Additionally, the GTC Human Resources office also has computers available for your use during business hours. If you experience difficulties or need special assistance, please call 864-250-8190.
