GTC evaluates student success through persistence, retention, graduate placement rates and the IPEDS Outcome Measure Eight-Year Award Rate, GTC's student achievement outcome measure. In 2021, GTC determined a threshold of acceptable performance and targets of achievement for 2025 for each of the institutional success measures. The Area Commission reviewed these measures; GTC provides updates to the entire board at the annual Board Retreat in February and at the year-end update in June.
The data is further disaggregated by academic school, race/ethnicity, and then by gender and race/ethnicity. Each academic school has a unique student population and program areas of study. Therefore, this criterion provides the deans and program areas with actionable data.
