At Greenville Technical College, we take safety very seriously. We want our campuses to be welcoming, secure environments where students can concentrate on preparing for the workforce and instructors can focus on teaching and learning, confident that safeguards are in place to protect our classrooms and workspaces.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement in every aspect of college operations, we regularly invest in tools and resources that strengthen campus security. Access control systems allow us to lock facilities remotely. Security cameras help deter crime and can provide vital information to law enforcement should an incident occur. Our Alert Media system enables timely notifications by text and email should a concern arise. Employees complete annual training to keep skills up to date. And through partnerships with area law enforcement agencies—including on-campus exercises—we combine resources and expertise to enhance preparedness and security across our campuses.
These efforts are important, but one of the most important components of campus safety is you.
