The Department of Physical Sciences at Greenville Technical College explores key concepts in astronomy, chemistry, geology, physical sciences and physics. This foundation will prepare students for engineering and medical professions and will also provide applications in everyday life including awareness of environmental, consumer, agricultural, industrial, and political issues.
Classroom and lab experiences teach use of the scientific method and problem-solving skills. Instructors have an open door policy and caring attitudes that help students grasp concepts they will need to become better prepared employees and more involved citizens.
