While general admission to the college is managed through the Admissions office, placement into the Health Sciences programs requires additional steps and academic minimums. These special requirements will vary from program to program and are coordinated prior to admission through the school and departmental advisors. For additional admissions requirements for Health Sciences programs, please contact those departments directly.
Students working toward acceptance in select Health Sciences programs are now classified as an Associate in Science major. Want to know more? Check out our FAQ section.

In Section C (or Section B for specific programs) of the Weighted Admission Form, evaluating Previous Education, Volunteer & Work Experience will now include Military Experience. This change allows students who have served in the military in active duty, as a reservist, have been honorably discharged, or are retired veterans to obtain 10 points for their military service. This will be an additional allocation alongside points earned for previous education, volunteer, or work experience. Please be aware that appropriate validating documentation will be required.
Effective January 1, 2025
In Section A: General Education Courses, all sections awarding extra points for first attempts will be removed. There will no longer be additional points for the following:
Instead, additional sections will be added to award extra points for A’s or B’s in BIO 210/211 or BIO 215/216, and required MAT. The breakdown is as follows:
It is crucial to note that all Biology requirements must be current within 5 years of the start of the weighted admission period with the exception of BIO 240 Nutrition. Biophysical science courses may be repeated only once to achieve a passing grade (withdrawals do not count as attempts for BIO). Anatomy & Physiology must either be BIO 210/211 or BIO 215/216 combination.
Furthermore, please be reminded that it is your responsibility to ensure that all documentation (transcripts, etc.) is received, processed, and evaluated by the college before the deadline for the application period you are applying to. Points will be awarded only for courses, degrees, and certifications that are verifiable at the time of submission of the Weighted Admission Form.
Once admitted to the college, students will be prompted to schedule a planning and advising session where they will complete registration for their first semester and will be assigned an advisor. Students will make appointments with their assigned advisor prior to registration opening each subsequent semester.
