BSN Bound Nursing Students

BSN Bound means the student plans to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing after graduating from Greenville Technical College Nursing. Anderson University, Clemson University, Grand Canyon University, Lander University, Southern New Hampshire University, Southern Wesleyan University, USC Aiken and USC Upstate all have ADN to BSN or MSN programs and have outlined a curriculum and an articulation agreement for the GTC ADN student to progress while at GTC and then further their degree at a four-year college.

WHY CHOOSE BSN BOUND OPTION?

It has been recommended that all ADN nurses continue their education to achieve bachelor's degrees. Many institutions that are hiring RNs are preferring to hire a nurse with a BSN degree. These hiring institutions have mentioned that they would be more likely to hire a RN out of a technical college if that RN is enrolled in a BS degree program to continue his or her education. Also, a BSN has more employment options because there are some institutions that only hire BSN degree or higher (ie: public health departments).

Anderson University

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)

Southern New Hampshire University

HOW LONG WILL THE PROGRAM TAKE?

It all depends on when you enter and when you have your pre-requisites completed, but completion after one full year of study can be achieved.

OTHER OPTIONS FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION

You can search the web and find many opportunities for nursing education. There are possibilities for ADN to master's degrees and ADN to doctorate degrees.
