Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses high-field magnets and radiofrequency waves to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the human body.
The MRI program at Greenville Technical College is a two-semester (nine-month) online advanced certificate program designed for ARRT-credentialed radiographers.

The MRI program curriculum is delivered entirely online for didactic coursework. The clinical component includes a total of 495 contact hours (15–18 hours per week) completed at various approved clinical sites.

Greenville Technical College’s MRI program is recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and all didactic coursework meets ARRT content specifications.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared to challenge the ARRT Post-Primary Pathway Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Designed as a post-graduate program for ARRT-credentialed radiographers, this two-semester (nine-month) certificate prepares students to use high-field magnets and radiofrequency waves to produce cross-sectional anatomical images of the human body.

Supplemental Admissions Process
This program is open only to ARRT-registered technologists, and proof of registry is required. Radiologic Technology students must complete their program by August 1 of the year they enter the MRI program and must pass the ARRT registry within four weeks of the MRI program start date.
As this is an online program, a computer with internet access is required.
