The MRI program at Greenville Technical College is a two-semester (nine-month) online advanced certificate program designed for the two-year ARRT-credentialed radiographer.

The MRI program curriculum is offered totally online, and didactic courses meet one day per week (Monday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. EST or Monday, 7 - 10 p.m. EST) each semester. The clinical component totals 495 contact hours (15-18 hours/week) utilizing various approved clinical sites.

Upon completion of the program, an individual will be prepared to challenge the ARRT Post-Primary Pathway Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

As a post-graduate program for the two-year credentialed radiographer, this two-semester (nine-month) certificate prepares students to use high-field magnet and radio-frequency waves to obtain cross-sectional anatomical images of the human body.

Participating in a Career Talk session is a requirement for all Health Sciences students. The Career Talk presentation for the MRI program is presented online.
The MRI program strictly adheres to all School of Health Sciences policies, which are detailed on the Health Sciences admissions information page.
This program is available only to ARRT Registered Technologists, and proof of registry is required. Radiologic Technology students must complete the program by August 1 of the year they begin the MRI program, and must pass the ARRT registry within four weeks of the start of the MRI program.
Because this is an online program, a computer with internet access is required.
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program application deadline for fall admission is May 1. Classes begin in August.
