The Foundation for Geriatric Education, a long-term supporter of Greenville Technical College, has provided a gift of $10,014 that helps prepare students to use technology now common in hospitals and skilled nursing centers. The gift has provided for three ?computers-on-wheels? (COWs) that enable students to learn how to electronically look up records, enter data and communicate with other medical professionals while in a patient?s or resident?s room. The Foundation for Geriatric Education was established by Dr. Carl Adams, the founder of National Health Care Corporation, and is funded by money raised by employees.
