The Bank of Travelers Rest has pledged $25,000 to partially fund a renovation creating a learning commons at the Northwest Campus of Greenville Technical College. The remodeled area will include an expanded library for the campus, a student computer lab, an office for testing and Disability Services counseling, study rooms where students can be tutored or work individually or in groups, and a conference room. The conference room will be named for the bank in recognition of the donation. ?We greatly appreciate the generosity of the Bank of Travelers Rest and their demonstrated interest in seeing that Greenville Technical College can provide the highest quality education at our Northwest Campus,? said Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College. ?Community partners including the Bank of Travelers Rest allow us to deliver on our mission of driving personal and economic growth through learning.? ?Since our founding in 1946, Bank of Travelers Rest has been committed to improving the quality of life for people living in and around Greenville County,? noted Bruce White, President. ?We see this pledge as a partnership between the bank and the college. Together we are helping make education more accessible to our community in an environment that incorporates modern learning standards with collaborative learning.?
