Ethox Chemicals has supported the work of Greenville Technical College (GTC) with a $12,000 gift for purchasing equipment to be used in chemistry classes and labs.
Dr. Chuck Hinton, president of the company, says Ethox has employed many graduates over the years, and the company has also relied on the college to train its workforce in new software. “Greenville Technical College plays an important role in the community by providing well-trained employees for those companies that wish to locate in or around Greenville,” he said. “It is our hope that we can assist students by helping to upgrade some chemistry lab equipment.”
Dr. Keith Miller, president of GTC, says partnerships with area employers are critical to the college’s success. “With this gift, Ethox is ensuring that the education we offer meets employer needs,” he said. “We greatly value our relationship with Ethox and appreciate their willingness to join with us to strengthen our equipment inventory.”
