The Citizens Building and Loan (CBL) Charitable Foundation has given $7,500 to the Greenville Tech Foundation to support Greenville Technical College’s Quick Jobs with a Future program. The gift will provide tuition assistance to students from the Greater Greer area.
Quick Jobs with a Future provides short-term training to build the skills needed to enter a career field. Most participants are unemployed, underemployed or people re-entering the workforce.
“We appreciate the assistance of Citizens Building and Loan’s Charitable Foundation in helping people gain job skills so that they can move forward,” said Steve Hand, director of the Quick Jobs program. “We are now in our fifteenth year of helping people with Quick Jobs, and CBL has partnered with us several times to impact the people of Greer with scholarship assistance.”
“Part of the Charitable Foundation’s mission is to promote education in our area,” said CBL Executive Vice President Jennifer T. Jones. “We believe the Quick Jobs program provides an excellent way to help ensure successful careers for students whom we hope will continue to work and live in our community.”
