Greenville Technical College’s Personal Trainer, Dental Hygiene and Cosmetology clinics are looking for community members to participate in their student-run health care clinics this fall.
Greenville Tech student clinics are the perfect way to find discounted prices while allowing soon-to-be professionals to gain experience and confidence as they work under the guidance of experienced faculty members.
The Dental Hygiene Clinic on the Barton Campus in Greenville is offering dental hygiene treatment, x-rays and sealants at a reasonable cost while helping to provide students with clinical experience. Treatments are $20 for adults, $15 for children (11 and under) and $10 for seniors (55 years of age and over). A full mouth of x-rays is $20, and sealants are $5 per tooth. New patients should expect to return for more than one appointment to complete individual oral hygiene care.
The Personal Training Clinic at the Benson Campus in Greer is offering an “open gym” format and four one-hour circuit training classes for up to eight adults in each class this semester. Hours are Monday-Thursday 3 to 7 p.m. from Sept. 5 through Dec. 7. Recent graduates of the personal training program will be on-site and offer assistance during these hours. One-hour circuit training classes are available in either two- or four-day formats and are offered at the same time as open gym hours. The Cosmetology Clinic, Studio 11 Salon and Spa, is scheduling appointments for hair, nail and skin care this fall. Hair services include cuts, colors, highlights, relaxers and more. A man’s or child’s cut-only is $5; a shampoo, cut and style is $7. A full set of highlights is $40, while all-over color is $25. Nail services include manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gels and nail art. The clinic’s esthetic services include facials, waxing, microdermabrasion and make-up application.
