Submissions are sought for the February 2018 art exhibition at Greenville Technical College’s Barton Campus Library, in celebration of African American History Month.
The show is open to African American visual artists living in the Upstate and to current and former Greenville Technical College students, faculty, and staff regardless of where they currently live.
All forms of visual art will be considered including but not limited to sculpture, photography, print, and paint with a maximum size of 3’ x 5’. Works that will be hung must be professionally framed and use a wire hanger. Artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up of their work and will be required to sign a hold-harmless agreement.
Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Submissions should include a hi-res 300 DPI jpeg and artist statement for each piece being submitted. An artist bio and headshot, to be used for the show brochure, should be included. Submissions should include the artist’s name, address, email address, and phone number. Artists with a current or former affiliation with the college are encouraged to include that information with the submission.
Submissions must be emailed to AAHM@gvltec.edu by Jan. 12, 2018. Those selected will be notified by phone no later than Jan. 23, 2018.
