The Citizens Building and Loan (CBL) Charitable Foundation has given $5,000 to the Greenville Tech Foundation to support Greenville Technical College’s Quick Jobs with a Future program. The gift will provide tuition assistance to students from the Greater Greer area.
CBL has been a consistent benefactor over the years, enabling 58 Greer students to receive training through Quick Jobs. Quick Jobs with a Future provides short-term training to build the skills needed to enter a career field or qualify for a better position. Most participants are unemployed, underemployed or people re-entering the workforce.
“Quick Jobs training is matched to local employer needs, and CBL is helping us provide more people with access to this life-changing opportunity. We are truly grateful to this long-time donor for giving locally to impact Greer in a meaningful way,” said Ann Wright, vice president for advancement with the Greenville Tech Foundation.
“Part of the Charitable Foundation’s mission is to promote education in our area,” said CBL CEO & President Jennifer T. Jones. “We believe the Quick Jobs program provides an excellent way to help ensure successful careers and training for participants we hope will continue to work and live in our community.”
