Welch named department head for healthcare at Greenville Technical College

Dr. Arlene Welch has been named department head for healthcare in the Economic Development and Corporate Training division at Greenville Technical College. She is responsible for a department that includes preparation for careers in the clinical, administrative, and compliance areas of health care.

A chiropractor, Welch worked with other practices before operating her own office for a number of years. She has served as lead instructor and clinical floor doctor with Sherman College of Chiropractic. She joined the faculty at Greenville Tech in 2013 as an adjunct instructor teaching anatomy and medical terminology before becoming program manager for medical coding.  

Welch earned a bachelor’s degree in life sciences from the University of New York and a doctorate from Logan College of Chiropractic.
