In recognition of Constitution Day, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department of Greenville Technical College will host the annual Constitution Day program Tuesday, Sept. 17 to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution by offering citizens the opportunity to learn more about our founding document.
Brittany Arsiniega, assistant professor of politics and international affairs at Furman University, will present a special lecture, “The Constitution and Immigration,” at the Barton Campus’ University Transfer Building (#104) Auditorium from 1-2:30 p.m.
Arsiniega specializes in law and society, with emphasis on the law, political science, and sociology of crime and policing. She practices law with Wyche, P.A., volunteers as a member the Hispanic Alliance’s legal team, and runs a pilot legal clinic at Furman University in which she represents immigrant crime victims with the assistance of Furman students.
The public is invited to attend.
