Greenville Technical College recently added new evening or online options for several academic programs this fall, including Automotive Technology, Auto Body Repair, and Management.
Degrees for in-demand career fields like industrial electronics (electrician), automotive and auto body repair, cybersecurity, management, and even Greenville Tech’s new bachelor’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology, can be completed in the evening or online in addition to the regular daytime option.
“We’re hearing from our students – especially those that are working nine to five jobs – that they want and, in many cases, need the flexibility to complete full degrees in the evening or online. These options will be much more convenient for the working student and individual who needs college to fit their schedule,” said Larry Miller, vice president of learning and workforce development at Greenville Technical College.
Programs available for evening completion include:
- Automotive Technology
- Auto Body Repair
- Bachelor in Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing Technology
- Computer Technology – specialize in Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Programming or Systems Administration
- Diesel Equipment Technology
- Industrial Electronics
Students can also complete the following degrees or certificates online:
- Associate degrees – Administrative Office Technology, Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Criminal Justice Technology, Management
- Certificates – Business Systems, Cancer Data Management, Computed Tomography, Data Analytics, Early Childhood Special Education, Human Resource Management, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Marketing Communications, Medical Clerical, Medical Scribe Specialist, and Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship
GTC’s Fall Semester classes begin the week of Aug. 23, with a shorter, 10-week “Flex Start” term option beginning in mid-September. The newly renovated Dreisbach/Anderson Student Success Center on the Barton Campus, Building 102, welcomes new and returning students for fall enrollment support during normal business hours (Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and special extended hours Saturday, August 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and, Friday, August 20, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
