Ann Wright, Vice President for Advancement, is a 2023 recipient of GSA Business Report’s Women of Influence award which recognizes the professional success and community involvement of Upstate women who are making their mark on the region from a mix of industry, professional and community sectors.
Wright has led the Foundation since 2017 in its efforts to support Greenville Technical College's mission to transform students' lives and help the community thrive by providing a world-class, affordable education to students and building an educated, engaged workforce committed to life-long learning. The Foundation is celebrating 50 years of impact in 2023 and will host a 50th Anniversary Celebration this October.
“Ann Wright’s unequaled fundraising abilities and genuine desire to remove barriers for our students have resulted in increased giving levels at the Greenville Tech Foundation,” said Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College. “Thanks to the efforts of Ann and her team, we are able to support critical programs such as the Student Emergency Needs fund, scholarships, and the African American Male Scholars Initiative. Ann’s important work is central to our mission of changing lives through education.”
“We are thrilled to see Ann Wright recognized for the impact she has made on the well-being of our community through decades of selfless service and leadership at the American Red Cross, and now at the Greenville Tech Foundation,” said David Sudduth, Greenville Tech Foundation Board Chair. “As the Foundation celebrates its 50th year, Ann continues to be a significant force for change and is growing and leading the organization to do more to support and assist our students, which in turn benefits the greater community.”
Wright, along with 26 other influential female honorees, will be recognized at a celebratory luncheon hosted by GSA Business Report on March 29 at the Hyatt Regency Greenville.
