Eligibility
The initial HEERF II-CRRSA Act awards were made to students who were enrolled in Spring Semester classes as a degree, certificate or diploma-seeking student as of Wednesday, March 16, 2021.
The legislation differentiates between students that are eligible for Pell grants and students that are not eligible for Pell grants. Thus, the amount awarded to students depended on whether you were Pell-eligible based on Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and on how many credit hours you were attending during the 2020 Spring Semester.
Early College students, DACA students, International students, employees who received assistance from the college, transient students or non-degree students are not eligible.

- Students enrolled entirely in distance learning are eligible.
- Enrolled students who had a Federal Pell Grant transmitted to their student account as of March 16, 2021, were eligible for a $450 base award plus an amount based on enrolled hours. Enrolled students who submitted a 2020-21 FAFSA that was rejected and not processed are eligible. However, they are not eligible for $450 base award if their EFC is less than 5,712 since we cannot determine Pell Grant eligibility on a rejected non-processed FAFSA).

- Enrolled students who have an EFC less than 5,712 but not receiving Pell Grant due to having already earned a Bachelor s degree, 600% LEU, SAP status, or anything similar, are eligible, but not for the $450 base amount since they are not Pell Grant eligible.
