Coronavirus Aid for students through CARES/HEERF

Greenville Technical College received additional stimulus funds from the federal government as a result of several federal sources designed to assist students in need during the pandemic.

The federal government has authorized three different sources of emergency stimulus funds to students for expenses related to the COVID-19 through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF).

HEERF I was the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act or CARES Act passed on March 27, 2020.
HEERF II was the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act or CRRSA Act passed on December 27, 2020.
HEERF III was the American Rescue Plan (ARP) signed into law on March 11, 2021.
